My employer offers Cyclescheme but not City Bike Hire?
If you are interested in applying for a city bike hire membership via Cyclescheme, your employer will need to have asked us to switch the scheme for their employees'.
If the page allows you to apply then your employer is signed up to offer the scheme, if it does not let you apply then read on.
Encouraging your employer to offer City Bike Hire
There are a few reasons why your employer may not presently offer the Cyclescheme City Bike Hire scheme.
However, the good news is that as it's free for employers to offer City Bike Hire there should be few barriers in the way of you being able to apply.
Steps to getting your employer to enrol
- Contact your manager or HR/Benefits team and explain you'd like to use Cyclescheme City Bike Hire
- Let them know it's free and that it works just like the conventional cycle to work scheme; all they need to do is contact Cyclescheme and request the City Bike Hire scheme is activated for them
- Await confirmation from your employer that they've enrolled - head over to the City Bike Hire page and apply
You can search to see if your workplace is signed up using the search box on Cyclescheme's homepage.
If your employer is not registered with Cyclescheme you can invite them to join.
